Your Bright Future

The Museum of Fine Arts Houston is hosting an exhibition,"Your Bright Future," that features the modern works of native Korean Artists. Overall, the exhibit gives you a refreshing and innovative perspective, as most contemporary art tends to do, but one artist in particular struck my fancy. Do Ho Suh pulls you in, makes you think, and leaves you in awe of his overwhelming attention to detail. "Fallen Star" is a 3-D model of both his traditional Korean home and his first American apartment building made to scale. You are literally a giant peering into the world of a miniature person. The detail is truly astonishing!

Life + Art= Happiness

Life is full of little surprises and sometimes those surprises can lead you to your destiny.

My thirst for creativity was rejuvenated when I made the choice to walk away from an office job that was feeding me financially but not artistically. With the new found time I decided to put my efforts into flexing my creative muscles and opening a shop on the worldwide Internet artist market ETSY.com. Modern Byrd Designs is the name of my endeavor which revolves around the delicate femininity of feathers…a minor obsession of mine. The collision of mind, productivity, and inspiration has triggered an opening of the gates and now the creativity must flow!
